The Hare and the Tortoise

Once there was a hare who boasted around, claiming to be the fastest animal there was. And of course, he was pretty fast. But a tortoise got tired of all the hare's boasting and challenged him to a race. The hare laughed but accepted the challenge.

When the race began, the hare ran like the wind while the turtoise trodded slowly but surely. When the hare was halfway across the finish line, he looked back and checked the tortoise's progress. The tortoise was not even at a tenth of the length of the race. The hare decided to take a nap.

When the hare woke up, he saw that the turtoise was already three-fourths away from the finish line. But since he was now well-rested, the hare quickly ran to the finish line in even lesser time than it took him to make the first half.

He then ran back to the starting line and did the entire race again. And then one more time, just to prove a point.

Then the hare ran to the tortoise (who was ALMOST at the finish line) and kicked his sorry reptilian @ss.
